External/Clinical Supervsion
External supervision or clinical supervision as it is often referred to, is essential for sustaining reflective practice. I provide a safe environment, where you can focus on your work with clients, along with other professional issues you may encounter in your work.
Supervision enhances your professional development and I focus on you the practitioner rather than the organisation.
External supervision can help you to:
• Address the emotional impact of working with clients
• Develop your understanding of the impact of trauma/ stress on you as a worker
• Develop self care strategies
• Gain an opportunity to explore any issues which may impact on your capacity to provide support
• Gain an opportunity for professional and personal development
Experience
I obtained a certificate in person centred supervision in 2001 and have worked extensively over the last ten years providing supervision to supervisees, in various sectors including the social care sector who are working with issues such as :Domestic and sexual violence, bereavement through homicide, hate crime, parenting, mentoring, homelessness and work with young people.
Appointments
I have a flexible appointment system; appointments are usually offered within seven days.
Appointments start as early as 8.00 a.m. or as late as 8.00 pm.
I offer both face to face supervision and telephone supervision for one hour.
Group supervision is offered for a minimum of one and half hours.
Price
Individual supervision £50.00 per hour
Group supervision £70.00 per hour
